Graphic Appeal
Here are six images that I find graphically appealing
What I like about this image is that the artist used water in place of what we would normally see as fire. The use of one element in place of its polar opposite is very cool. I don’t know if there’s any message, but regardless its a great image.
This design is awesome because there are hidden parts to it. When you first look at it you see the word “Eight,” but when taking a closer look you’ll see that it is formed by broken variations of the actual number “8.” A very clever logo.
This is one of the most interesting ads I have ever seen. The design makes it look like the guy on the billboard is actually pulling off his own picture with his teeth. Its a memorable ad that has a cool 3D feel.
This logo was used by the Milwaukee Brewers up until 1993. I don’t know why they ever changed it because I feel its an incredibly smart and classic logo. It was only recently that I realized that not only is logo a glove and a ball, but the glove is actually formed by a “M” and a “b.” Its another example of hidden messages in text.
I chose this as one of my six graphically appealing images because ever since I was younger its been one of my favorite logos. It’s seen some variations, but this might the greatest one. Not only does the image represent Batman, but it also conjures up a certain nostalgia in me, and in many others I’m sure. A simple visual representation of a bat clashed onto a yellow background delivers a powerful feeling, and is worn by one of best, if not the best, superheroes of all time.
There’s nothing much to say about the Nike Swoosh. Its cool, simple and iconic. It represents the wing of the Greek Goddess Nike. The logo is so plain, but you’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t recognize it.
