What I found most intriguing from what I have seen so far from this video, is Jim’s decision to find himself again by only allowing himself to take 1 photo a day for 90 days. To go from constantly taking pictures all day, to limiting yourself to one picture a day had to be incredibly hard to do. I think the analogy used by the Senior Editor of National Geographic described it perfectly. He said it’s like a batter getting one ball to hit everyday, and hitting a grandslam each time. The patience and self-discipline that Jim Brandenburg reveals in his 90 day journey really shows the amount of confidence he must have in his photography skills.
This is my first blog entry for a computer art class I’m taking at Cal State San Marcos.
