Here are some Minimalist Portraits I made of myself and my friends. I was inspired by the artist Ali Jabbar. These were all done in Adobe Illustrator.

Digital Photo Sketchbook: Food Week

Tonight was my first class meeting in Digital Photo Sketchbook, and our first task was to find a blog that deals with food and write about what we liked about it.  The blog I chose to write about was 101cookbooks.com.  On this particular blog, Heidi Swanson shares different recipes that intersect her “life, travels and interests.”  What drew me to this blog was not only the delicious food, but also how beautiful the photos of the food were.  The lighting and shadows in the pictures add a certain mood to the images that showcase the food and ingredients perfectly.  On of my favorite posts on the site is the TLT sandwich recipe.  I’m a huge fan of sandwiches so this post caught my eye.  The close up images of the sandwich are amazing and will make you hungry for sure. Here are a few examples of the photos.

Tagxedo Logo

This is a stylistic word cloud made using the website Tagxedo.com .  I used the most common words found on my blog to create a word cloud of my shark logo.

Making Connections Updated

Here is an updated version of the Making Connections assignment.  I decided to do a list of the top things I’ve wanted for Christmas every year since 1992 when I was 5 years old.  Each Christmas Ornament represents a year range.

Long List of 40

For my list I chose the top 40 golf courses in America according to Golf.com

For this assignment I’ve made a fake business card, a Treasure Island hotel room key, a Donovan’s Steakhouse gift card, a San Diego Zoo Membership card, and LA Lakers Finals ticket.
